Berrymade School

The project supported children facing difficult circumstances and offered them the opportunity to process their feelings. Their engagement with the arts in these sessions encouraged self-expression and helped alleviate emotional distress.

The outcome from attending the intervention showed positive results, such as increased levels of concentration, self-esteem, academic attainment and positive peer and teacher relationships.

The project proved so successful that the Community Chest approved a further application to continue the therapeutic art sessions for the next school year.

"The intervention continues to show positive results, such as increased levels of: concentration, self esteem, academic attainment and positive peer and teacher relationships."
